Charity Work
This season the league presented £2000 to four registered charities each receiving £500. Those charities benefiting from our donations were: Action for Children, Shrewsbury Mencap Gateway Club, Rainbow Ward Paediatric Oncology Ward at RSH and SKIDS (Shrewsbury children with insulin dependency). This season we also thank Belle Vue Youth, Baschurch, Church Stretton Royals, Meresiders, Meole Brace, Shrewsbury Up & Comers, Shrewsbury Juniors, Sporting Colts and SAHA for making additional donations to the league’s Charity Fund. All charities were really please with the leagues donation which helps raise awareness to the good work they do and also shows how the football family contributes to the community

Futsal presentation
The SJFL held the first Futsal Tournament sponsored by a junior football league and 29 teams at U8, U9 and U10 enjoyed a very successful football festival. The League was honoured for its work in football with a presentation of signed England shirt by The Lady Mayor of Shrewsbury to the Chairman of the League for promoting Futsal for junior football teams. As part of the tournament some of the U10 teams were involved in exhibition games during the visit of the England International Futsal squad
